Facial Sculpting
In terms of your physical appearance, your face is what identifies you as a unique individual. It is true that no two faces (even those of identical twins) are exactly the same. This variation among people is something that I consider to be a beautiful, valuable trait of the human species. My approach to facial surgery is to maintain your overall "look" while refining and improving any negative characteristics that manifest as a result of genetics, lifestyle or time.
The face is the central focus that others use to identify you and therefore any change must be made with painstaking care and precision. While it can be a valuable communication tool to bring in photographs of other people - friends, models, actresses, etc. - it is important to realize that my goal in facial cosmetic surgery is to focus on what makes you as an individual beautiful and to enhance that. If the changes you seek result from effects of time or lifestyle choices, bring in a photograph of yourself from an earlier time if you have one; though it is definitely not necessary, it can sometimes be beneficial.
With the advanced training I received as a fellow in craniofacial surgery (in addition to all the school and training I went through to become a board-certified plastic surgeon), my knowledge of facial anatomy provides me with a comprehensive understanding of how all of the physical components of the face: underlying bone and cartilage structure, connective tissues and muscle, fatty tissue and skin work in symphony to produce the face that you present to others. It is through analyzing all of these components of your individual face and through an in-depth conversation with you of your desires, concerns and goals, that I will make a recommendation as to which surgery will best meet your needs.
I assure you, my goal is to work with you during the consultations leading up to surgery and completely understand the changes that you seek. It is your face. As your surgeon, it is my responsibility to apply a highly individualized and precise surgical plan to meet the goals that we have mutually agreed upon. My results are natural, long-lasting, and most importantly, enhance you.
